Inside our factory

Our Wooden Cutlery Manufacturing Capability

We are the manufacturer — not a trading company placing your order elsewhere. Moulds, presses, sanding, sterilisation, QC laboratory and packing hall are all on one site in Huizhou, Guangdong, and we welcome customer or third-party audits at any time.

Production line

Six controlled stages from log to carton

Timber selection

We buy graded birch logs from FSC®-certified forests and reject any batch outside our density and knot tolerance before it reaches the mill.

Slicing & drying

Veneer is sliced to thickness, then kiln-dried to a controlled 8–12% moisture content — the single biggest factor in whether cutlery warps in a UK warehouse.

Hot pressing

Automated presses form the product against hardened steel moulds. Each mould is inspected weekly and re-polished on a fixed schedule.

Sanding & polishing

Multi-stage sanding, then double polishing on all edges. Knife edges receive an additional dedicated pass and 100% visual inspection.

Sterilisation & drying

High-temperature sterilisation removes surface contamination and residual wood aroma, followed by controlled cooling to lock in moisture content.

Packing & metal detection

Bulk, wrapped or retail packing lines, with every finished carton passing a metal detector before palletising.

Quality control

What we check, and how often

Our QC team reports independently of production, which means an inspector can stop a line without needing sign-off from the production manager. In-line checks run every two hours against the golden sample you approved before mass production began.

  • Moisture content controlled at 8–12% to prevent warping in transit and in humid storage
  • Zero-splinter edge inspection on 100% of knife production
  • Metal detection pass on every finished carton
  • Batch-level traceability from log supplier to container number
  • Golden sample retained for 24 months after shipment
  • AQL 2.5 major / 4.0 minor final random inspection as standard
